Recipe ingredients
Spaghetti is the perfect choice here - they’re long enough to hold together beautifully once mixed with sour cream and baked into a crust. This Flatbread Margherita also has an unconventional crust.
Sour cream, eggs, Parmesan, and mozzarella help bind the pasta into a nice crust.
Hearty marinara or any tomato sauce you like to cover the crust. You can use this Neapolitan Pizza Sauce or the Roasted Tomato Sauce for Pasta.
Cheese: I usually go with Gouda or Cheddar, but any good-melting cheese you like will work perfectly.
Ingredients for the topping: I like to top my spaghetti pizza with sliced salami. You can also use pepperoni, ham, cooked sausage, or even leftover chicken. For veggies, think bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, canned corn, or whatever you have on hand - really, anything you love on pizza works!

Can I make this recipe with leftover spaghetti?
Absolutely! If you have cooked spaghetti, just mix it with the remaining crust ingredients and bake the crust. And if you're looking for more leftover recipes, check out this Quick Leftover Recipe, Fried Leftover Spaghetti, or Leftover Pasta Bake.
Best pans to use
I baked mine in a ceramic quiche dish (you could also use a round pie dish or a small casserole dish). Large cast-iron skillets work great for round pizzas.
Recipe FAQs
It’s a little of both! The crust gives it a pizza feel, while the baked spaghetti and cheese make it hearty like a casserole. Perfect for those who love both comfort foods.
You can pre-bake the crust a few hours in advance. Or you can prepare the crust for baking and assemble the rest just before you want to serve the pizza. Store it in the fridge until ready to bake.
Almost anything! Traditional toppings like sliced salami, pepperoni, ham, or cooked sausage are delicious. Veggies like bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, or olives are perfect, too. Be creative - leftover cooked chicken, bacon, or even a few dollops of pesto would work great.
Store & Reheat
Fridge: Store leftover slices in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days.
Freezer: Wrap tightly in foil or plastic wrap; can be frozen for up to 2 months.
Reheating: For a crispy crust, reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10–15 minutes. Microwave works, but the crust may get a bit soft.

- some basil leaves to garnish, optional
Instructions
Make the crust:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F/ 200°C. Lightly grease the baking dish.

Notes
- Baking dish: I baked my spaghetti pizza in a ceramic quiche dish, but you can also use a round pie dish, a small casserole dish, or even a nonstick or cast-iron skillet.
- Pasta: I usually go with spaghetti, but other long pasta like linguine, fettuccine, or bucatini works just as well.
- Sauce: I used marinara this time, but I often use a classic pizza sauce or tomato sauce with added seasoning. If all you have are regular canned tomatoes, if fine; just mix them with the tomato paste, 2 cloves of grated garlic, 1 teaspoon of oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Cheese: Gouda or Cheddar are great, but any good-melting cheese you like will work perfectly.
- Toppings: Instead of salami, try pepperoni, chopped bacon or pancetta, ham, cooked sausage, or leftover chicken. For veggies, bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, corn, or anything you love on pizza works perfectly.
