Looking for a super-fast summer treat? These orange popsicles are juicy, tangy, and incredibly easy to make - just fresh oranges, buttermilk, honey, and a splash of vanilla, then into the freezer they go.

These orange popsicles have quickly become a favorite in our house. Perfect for kids โ my two love them! I love that my kids can help make them, and every time they grab one, they insist itโs โthe best everโ - until the next flavor, of course.

Recipe ingredients
Freshly squeezed orange juice - pure, with no added sugar or preservatives. Youโll usually need 4 oranges, but I recommend grabbing an extra one just in case.
Buttermilk. You can swap in Greek or orange yogurt if you like (the orange yogurt is a bit sweeter, but it still works).
Honey can be replaced with maple syrup or agave syrup.
See the recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities.
How to make orange popsicles?
Step #1: Juice the oranges.
Step #2: Pour the juice into a bowl. Add the buttermilk and vanilla extract. Stir in honey to taste.
Step #3: Pour the mixture into the popsicle molds.
Step #4: Insert the sticks. Freeze for 4-6 hours or until solid.
How to unmold popsicles?
Run the molds under warm water for a few seconds.
Gently pull out the popsicles.
Tips & Variations
Popsicle molds: You can use any mold you like - silicone molds are great because theyโre flexible and make it easy to remove the popsicles, while plastic molds work perfectly too.
Use whichever sweetener you like and adjust to taste - some might prefer their orange popsicles sweeter, others a bit tangier than I do.
Swap the oranges for other citrus fruits like lemon or lime for a tangy twist - just check the sweetness and add more sweetener if needed.
Storage
Keep the orange popsicles in their molds in the freezer and remove them only when youโre ready to eat.
They can stay frozen for several weeks without noticeable changes in taste or texture.
