Equipment

  • Pot for double boiler
  • Heatproof bowl metal or glass

Ingredients

  • 1 lb strawberries Note 1
  • 10.5 oz milk chocolate Note 2
  • 1 tablespoon neutral-tasting oil

Instructions

  • Strawberries: Halve or quarter the strawberries, depending on their size. Place them in glasses.
    1 lb strawberries
  • Chocolate: Chop it and place it in a heatproof bowl. Set the bowl over a pot filled with some water, making sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water. Heat gently, but don’t let the water come to a boil; it should only get hot, but not boil. Stir the chocolate until it’s melted and smooth. Stir in the oil.
    10.5 oz milk chocolate + 1 tablespoon neutral-tasting oil
  • Assemble: Carefully, pour the melted chocolate over the strawberries.

Notes

  1. Strawberries: Make sure that they are fresh, ripe, and sweet.
  2. Chocolate: Use the best quality you can afford. For a less sweet taste, mix half milk and half dark chocolate.
