Crispy Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Wings

Make these crispy air fryer lemon pepper wings tonight! All you need are 3 ingredients and less than 30 minutes. Tender chicken wings with crispy skin and intensive flavor.

  • 1 lb chicken wings 450 g, Notes 1,2,3
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning


  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F/ 200°C (according to the instruction manual, some air fryers don’t need preheating). I preheat mine for 3 minutes.
  • Season chicken wings: Dry them well with paper towels. Place them in a bowl and rub them with 1 tablespoon of oil, ½ teaspoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of lemon pepper seasoning. Place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Air fry them for 10 minutes.
  • Flip using tongs. Cook for another 10 minutes or until crispy and cooked through (Note 4).
  • Serve them immediately as they are or with a dipping sauce.


  1. Serves 4 as an appetizer and 2 as a main dish.
  2. You can air fry up to 1.5 lb in one batch if they fit in a single layer in the air fryer basket. If you want to cook more chicken wings, do that in batches. If you cook 1.5, coat them with 1 ½ tablespoons of oil and season them with 1 ½ tablespoon lemon seasoning and ¾ teaspoon fine sea salt.
  3. The wings should be separated into wingettes and drumettes. Place a whole wing on the cutting board. Remove the tip if still attached. Cut through the joint between the bones; you should not encounter much resistance; if you do, move the knife a bit and try to find the right spot.
  4. Check with an instant-read thermometer; the internal temperature should be 165°F/74°C. If you don’t have one, tear one wing; the flesh should be white with no traces of pink or red (Amazon affiliate link).
